THQ Nordic Holding Company Acquires 8 Studios Including Dev. Metro Exodus

In recent years, the Embracer Group, the parent company of THQ Nordic, has been aggressively “shopping” for studios ranging from mid-range to AAA. On this occasion, they did not only acquire one, but eight at once.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

The studios are 4A Games, DECA Games, New World Interactive, Palindrome Interactive, Pow Wow Entertainment, Rare Earth Games, Sola Media and Vermila Studios. Of the eight mentioned, 4A Games and New World Interactive may be the most familiar to gamers.

4A Games is the studio behind the Metro series and New World Interactive is an indie developer from Insurgency. Both games have their own fanbase, although they are not as large as AAA games on the market.

Metro Exodus Sams Story
4A Games will now operate under the direction of Saber Interactive known as World War Z. Combining the 4A Games experience in its visual technology and Saber Interactive in building multiplayer games, the two will collaborate to build a new AAA project.

This is not the end of the shopping list for THQ Nordic and Embracer Group, they seem to be continuing to bring indie studios to fame to be a part of them. We’ll just have to wait and see who else this publisher will acquire.
