What’s the mode like?

With a level of difficulty that is much easier than the game made by Valve, they have succeeded in building their own fanbase in the midst of the chaos of the shooter genre, which has more and more competitors.

At the moment Valorant new has several modes other than training. Some of them are plant/defuse both normal and ranked, spike rush that comes without having to buy weapons, to team deathmatch. But it looks like Riot is aware that they have to add a new mode to keep their fans afloat.

According to the Arabic website Valorant, Riot Games plans to add a 5v5 mode called Escalation. This news was discovered by the Twitter account @ValorLeaks which seems to have been accidentally published before its schedule.

Escalation will present 5v5 with 12 Escalation Levels. Each level will come with specific weapons and abilities. The winner will be determined by whoever from the team has reached level 12 the fastest or within 10 minutes.

Each team must get 7 points in each level to advance to the next level. The way to get points is to kill other players. Each kill will reward player points of 0.5 to 1.

Each player will have a weapon level that they must complete. Scoring 1 kill will unlock the next level of the current weapon. Squads will still be able to continue Escalation Level even if the player has a low weapon level.

In other words, when the team has reached level 4 but one of the players still has a level 1 weapon, the player will not be able to level up his weapon directly to level 4 with 1 kill, but to level 2. Their weapon level will not affect the team’s Escalation Level.

For players who hate matches Valorant which is long enough, which is about 30-45 minutes, then their suffering will be answered through Escalation. This mode will only run for about 7-9 minutes, a standard which is much shorter than some similar games.

Interestingly, the abilities of each selected character cannot be used and will be replaced with certain predetermined abilities. Here’s a complete list of abilities for each level in Escalation mode:

  • Level 1: Always between Raze’s Rocket Launcher or Vandal/Phantom weapon.
  • Level 2: Always between Vandals or Phantoms.
  • Levels 3-11: Variety of weapons and random abilities.
  • Level 12: Possible shorty, classic, knife, stun arrow or snowball thrower.
  • MOBILE PHONE: A health bag will drop upon death and will only last for 10 seconds.

Players who play Escalation will get an additional 800XP and 200XP for the team that won it.

Escalation will most likely be a limited-time mode. Riot is also likely to ask fans if he will become permanent at Valorant or not.
