Dev Survival Horror Abandoned: We Have No Relationship with Hideo Kojima

They denied rumors of Abandoned’s relationship working with Kojima.

Since Hideo Kojima announced that he is working on a horror game Silent Hills in the game teaser that can be played, namely PT but then left Konami. Many rumors say that he is working on another horror game in order to pursue his dream after his release Death Stranding.

One of the developers who got exposure from these rumors was Blue Box Game Studios, which was working on a survival horror game for PS5. This is because the game is first-person like PT and its relationship with Sony PlayStation, the company that had funded the return of Kojima Productions as an independent studio.

Blue Box Game Studios immediately denied the news. Through their official website, they say that Blue Box Game Studios has nothing to do with Hideo Kojima.

They continued that it was true that Blue Box Game Studios had helped several other studios. However, they denied Kojima’s interference with Abandoned, because the game itself is their first major project.

Blue Box Game Studios closed it with the announcement of the arrival of the first gameplay from Abandoned.

Abandoned is still a mystery to this day. The developer only explained that the game is an open-world first-person survival horror which is planned to be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 in the fourth quarter of 2021 or near the end of the year.
