Lenovo to Release "Foldable" Thinkpad Laptop in Q2 2020

After being a mystery for several months, Lenovo has finally revealed the release schedule for the folding variant of the ThinkPad X1. In the announcement, Lenovo plans to release it in the second quarter of 2020. Previously, they showed the design of the laptop in May this year.

Lenovo said that from a hardware point of view, the machine is ready, but Lenovo is still waiting for the software side to be compatible with this Lenovo laptop. Later, this laptop will use a 13.3-inch OLED screen and 2K resolution. So, when folded, it can be easily put into a small bag after being folded.

Later, the foldable variant of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1, can be converted into a tablet, book or flip mode. But at this time Lenovo is still hiding what processor will be used on the ThinkPad X1. Just mentioned will use Intel. This laptop will use the Microsoft Windows operating system. So it can be compatible with various software applications.

Milan Director of Global Brands and Networks, Milanka Muecke describes the foldable variant of the ThinkPad X1 as a full-featured PC that you can even easily use on your handheld.

Lenovo hopes that the ThinkPad X1 Carbon model will be released in the second quarter of next year (April to June). And it can be displayed at the Taipei Computer Show (Computex 2020).
