Sony Stops Buy and Rent Movies on PlayStation Store
Sony recently announced that it will soon stop buying and renting movies and TV on the PlayStation Store.

Sony Discontinued Movies and TV Service on PlayStation Store
Through its official Blog, the PlayStation Store will no longer offer the purchase and rental of movies and TV starting on August 31, 2021. According to Sony, this decision was taken after observing the extraordinary development of advertising-based entertainment services such as Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ and others.
Even so, users can still access to the content they have purchased. However, they can only enjoy this access until August 31, 2021. In this post, Sony will still provide an even better entertainment experience on PlayStation.
That means, Sony has prepared something to replace this system in the future. Even so, Sony’s decision to close the service is actually quite reasonable. This is because Sony is more famous for their gaming services than TV or movies.
PlayStation 5 SSD Expansion Features Coming Soon
According to a Bloomberg report, Sony Interactive Entertainment plans to release an update firmware new next summer. Later, PS5 users can connect their external solid-state drive as an option to store data or files.
This update allows players to gain access to the PS5’s internal cooling fan so they can control the fan speed. This setup has been promised by Sony before and will be able to enjoy players right next summer.
The presence of an external SSD expansion feature for PlayStation 5 has been awaited by players. The reason is, the storage capacity of this console is somewhat lacking for today’s technology. Previously, some players tried to connect another SSD to PS5, but ended up with problems bricking or overheating.
