Many users leave WhatsApp, switch to Telegram and Signal

The two messaging apps Telegram and Signal have reportedly seen a significant increase in users in recent days. It comes right after WhatsApp imposed a new policy on privacy and new terms.

According to a report from market research firm Sensor Tower released two days ago last week, the messaging app Telegram has more than 2.2 million downloads from the Android and iOS platforms.

Then during the same period, the Signal messaging app also gained 100,000 new users.

In contrast to the two applications above, WhatsApp is reported to have experienced a decrease of 11 percent in users.

However, at this time the messaging application is still the most widely used by mobile phone users in the world. According to reports, WhatsApp currently has 10.5 million downloads.

As we know, some time ago, WhatsApp users received a notification in the form of a policy update regarding privacy and new terms.

The update has several key points, one of which is that users are required to share their data with Facebook if they still want to use WhatsApp.

As a result of the update, it received mixed responses from many users. There are many people who agree and do not mind the new policy. However, there are also many negative responses from users who are worried about the security of their personal data.

WhatsApp itself argues in its clarification, in fact it has been since 2016 that user data has been shared with Facebook on a limited basis. So they wonder, why is now a problem.
