Nothing lasts forever in this world including video game servers. It’s no secret that some online games will have their servers shut down after the time comes. There are many reasons why developers and publishers generally close the server. Some of it is because no one has played it in large numbers or other constraints.

One of the games whose servers will be closed is a game made by Ubisoft which appeared several years ago.

Ubisoft announced that they will be shutting down servers for some of their legacy games this year. They reasoned that their IT staff could focus more on their other new and popular games. Here’s a list of games that have their servers shut down this year:

June 1, 2021

  • Assassin’s Creed 2 (PC)
  • Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands (PC)
  • Far Cry 2 (PC)
  • Anno 1404 (PC)
  • Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes (PC)
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC)
