Company Shares Continue to Rise, CEO of CD Projekt Red Officially Becomes a Billionaire

With only one franchise for now, CD Projekt Red is one of the most successful game studios today. Not only a pride for the Polish nation, The Witcher also makes the co-founder and CEO, Marcin Iwi?ski, one of the most powerful people in his country.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

As of April 24, the share value of CDPR reached 368 z?. With him being the highest shareholder (12,150,000 shares), the net worth of Marcin Iwi?ski now stands at 4.4 billion z? or the equivalent of $1.05 billion, making him a billionaire and one of the richest people in Poland. Pawel Marchewka, CEO of Techland is another Polish video game industry figure who falls into that category with a fortune of over $700 million.

CDPR is known as one of the major consumer-friendly studios. While other major studios continue to push new innovations for monetization of each content in their games, CDPR is not following the trend and is focused on giving gamers the content they really want such as expansions equivalent to a full game as well as free DLC.

Compared to CEOs of other game studios, Marcin Iwi?ski’s wealth is still “not much”. Gabe Newell, co-founder of Valve is currently worth 3.5 billion USD and Ma Huateng, CEO of Tencent Holdings has real-time assets equivalent to 48 billion USD. But remember again that the business owned by Iwi?ski is currently only based on one game franchise, and they have business tactics that are not as aggressive as other competitors. So what has been achieved by the CEO of CDPR remains to be applauded.
