Launching DualShockers, Genshin Impact is reportedly ready to try Epic’s platform, namely EGS. This rumor emerged after several people found the data back-end which shows the name Genshin Impact in one of the EGS files. Unfortunately, there has been no direct confirmation of this by miHoYo.
In fact, miHoYo doesn’t really care about third-party platforms to release their games. Previously, Honkai Impact 3 also had launcher themselves and do not use platforms such as the Epic Games Store or Steam. Of course, it’s very likely that this is just a rumor.
You need to know, miHoYo is still developing the Switch version of Genshin Impact. So, it took a long time for the developer to release the game on the Epic Games Store. For now, there has been no direct confirmation from miHoYo regarding these rumors.
