Xenoblade Chronicles was first released for the Wii in 2010 then followed by the 3DS version in 2015. Both are known to have less powerful hardware, at least when compared to rival consoles. Therefore, the visual aspect is not the strongest aspect of this game especially 10 years later.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition tries to fix this problem. Released for Nintendo Switch which has much more powerful hardware, the game will offer better visuals and smoother character models, you could even say this version is more towards the anime art style.
